ALMA G4 mini was installed on UAV

Recently in Switzerland we performed the testing of our flagship remote methane detector ALMA G4 mini. Initially the model was intended to be mounted on manned light airplanes and helicopters. However at this time it was decided to find out whether ALMA G4 mini can be efficiently used mounted on a drone.

The testing was carried out together with Swissdrones that granted us an ICE helidrone.

The equipment was mounted under the helicopter bottom with no issues. The drone take-off, navigation and landing went in a routine mode. All the methane leak control points were revealed during the testing. The reports of the leaks found were generated automatically containing photos, videos and GPS position.

Now you can be sure that it is possible to detect methane leaks (80 ppm*m from 150 mheight) with the help of UAVs.
